How can I rotate and/or flip an image?

To rotate and/or flip your image, navigate to Edit – Rotate. From there you’ll be able to rotate the image clockwise and counterclockwise as well as flip it vertically or horizontally.

Is flipping an image the same as rotating it?

Flipping an image and rotating it is not the same thing.

When you rotate an image, it moves left or right around the axis. There are no further changes. However, when you flip an image, you’re essentially mirroring it either vertically or horizontally.

How can I mirror an image?

Simply navigate to Edit – Rotate and apply either a vertical or horizontal image flip to create a mirror image. Our free image flip tool lets you flip an image online, while our editing tools can give your flipped image even more sparkle.

Can I flip text and other graphic elements as well?

Yes. The flip and rotate functions aren’t limited to images. You can just as easily apply the same to any text or graphic assets using the Layer Properties option.

My selfie image is flipped. How can I fix it?

Upload the image to Colorcinch and navigate to Edit – Rotate. Next, Flip the image either vertically or horizontally to achieve a desired look.

I have a photo that I’d like to straighten. How can I do that?

You can easily straighten tilted photos by navigating to Edit – Rotate and adjusting the Straighten slider. Keep in mind that certain portions of the image may get cropped while straightening.

Is there any way to rotate an image freely instead of the +/- 90 degree option?

To freely rotate a photo, you’ll need to upload it to Image Manager first and add it to your canvas. Then select the image and drag the bottom control point in either direction to adjust its angle.

Why do I need a flip image tool?

A flipped image can make all the difference to your social media page, especially when you are making a header that will be partially obscured by a photo. In addition to flipping an image horizontally or vertically or creating a mirror image, you can enhance your photo using our editing tools.
